»Down with the idyll! Long live life!«
The artist Magdalena Chowaniec, diverCITYLAB, and Dschungel Vienna invite you to the kickoff event of the „Medeas Töchter“ project at Dschungel Vienna. The interdisciplinary performance project uses the Greek myth of Medea, seeking to bring to the surface all of the unheard and unseen stories of girls* and young women*. We will work on a manifesto with the artists which will demand an end to silencing women’s voices. Medea is looking for her bitches and witches who would like to be a part of this collective work as part of WIENWOCHE 2019. A broad workshop program, consisting of rap, dance, and theater is aimed specifically at girls* and young women* who see themselves as the daughters of Medea. The „Medeas Töchter“ project will culminate in a performative city tour in June 2020.
