"erklär mir mal…” is a digital queer (post-)migrant educational format on Instagram. In the project, we explain political terms that contribute to a differentiated understanding of different forms of discimination. The self-organized project is characterized by the involvement of queer (post-)migrant people. They are not only being represented in front of the camera as tokens, but are involved in every step of production and publishing. The main categories are: Queer & Feminism, Politics & Society, Anti-racism and Open Space. Here we address questions such as: "Does everyone really know what the terms 'racism' or 'diaspora' mean? When and why did “guest workers*” actually come to Germany/Austria?".

For WIENWOCHE there will be one episode about utopia with questions like: "Which terms and questions do we not want to answer as an educational format in 100 years? And which questions do we want to deal with - in the sense of self-empowerment? What kind of society are we actually working towards tirelessly, and how will our post-migrant and queer-feminist utopia look like?"

Besides that, we offer a skill-sharing workshop for marginalized people:

"Through your eyes: What will the world look like in 100 years from now?" Iman Atwa and Mehran Karimi offer a two-day interactive creative workshop on "Dis_Utopian Me - 2121: A Self Portrait", based on the produced "erklär mir mal...Utopie" episode. The execution will be multimedia. Participants can choose illustration, graphics, photography or film as their medium. The main question of the workshop is: Where would you like to see yourself and the world in 100 years? On the third day, the participants exhibit their completed self-portraits from the year 2121 in the form of an (virtual) exhibition or presentation.
