Where is my Visa?

Tote bags for politics and non-citizen’s papers/documents

“’Where is my visa?’ is an answer in parable.

My visa is inside supremacy.

My visa is inside locked up with hate and discrimination.

My visa is trapped inside the walls of bureaucracy.

That's where my visa is!”

For this year’s issue of WIENWOCHE one of the merch contributions was made by Vivian Crespo Zurita, who is an afro-descendant artist and currently a student of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She works in painting, performance and installation and has been using her experience with ancestral wisdom, which also strengthens her spirit and essence when facing a problem.

Defining herself as an activist artist, her main work is to empower the underprivileged such as the young people of this new generation, the migrants. Her aim is to raise a voice and to be heard, against the supremacy and the racist sexist bureaucracy and to leave a mark on the cultural scene.

Voting pen for the rights of non-citizens

2024 is an election year here in Austria and elsewhere. Even though many of us will not be allowed to give their vote, you can pass a Wahlstift to a friend, who has the right to do so.

Pass on or save for later? The later is now!
