EXHIBITION, BOOK:

My child is lesbian, trans, inter, gay … so what? Queering the Family Album rewrites Austrian family stories, turns normalities and expectations upside down and challenges the old-fashioned idea of a hetero-planned child.
Queering the Family Album is a document and utopia at the same time: parents, grandparents, aunts … talk about how they experienced the coming out of their children and how they learned to unlearn what is taken for granted and to stand in solidarity with the struggle of their children. They share their experiences, conflicts, learning processes to encourage everyone, who wants to welcome the queerness of their children.

QUEERE ZINE-PRODUKTIONSWERKSTATT:

Puberty without the pressure to come out? A family party and in the company of your nonbinary lover? Finally became a woman* at your 70th birthday? Welcome to the queer new world! Queering the Family Album is going to design a gender-fluid family world in pictures, texts and other art forms and turn it into a common fanzine. Material available. Gender, age and artistic skills regardless.
